Squadron Commander

Captain Randy Ayers joined Civil Air Patrol (CAP) five years ago, he has been the Squadron Commander of the 236th Lakefront Thunderbirds for the past three years. His initial motivation to join CAP was personal growth and development. As a native Clevelander, he has been an advocate for youth in the northeast Ohio community throughout his life. The Civil Air Patrol organization has given him the opportunity to share his military and public service experiences and to convey the CAP core values of integrity, volunteer service, excellence, and respect to the 236th Cadets. Some of Captain Ayers favorite activities are teaching and promoting Cadets, conducting search and rescue missions, and flying powered and glider aircraft.
